Abstract: We present an improved remote user authentication scheme using smart card based on random number and time stamp. Our scheme has less computation and memory requirement, same communication load with above scheme. Furthermore, our scheme can avoid password guessing attack, replay attack, insider attack effectively, and realize user authentication indeed. More important, the previous generated password is secure even if the secret key of system is leaked or broken.
